12 X 12 Program

The South Shore Early College program is designed to offer every student the platform and the support to experience various post secondary opportunities. As a partner of the DESE Early College Initiative, the SSEC is focused on providing all of our member districts the resources to guarantee its students the components of our 12 X 12 program.

12 Free College Credits

Although there will be opportunities to earn up to 24 college credits through various academic pathways, the SSEC students are guaranteed a minimum of 12.

Free Transportation

Transportation should never be a barrier restricting students from experiencing college life and culture. SSEC will provide its students free transportation to our IHE partners.

Local College and Universities

All courses, whether in-person or virtual, are in coordination with state and local universities.

MassTransfer Credits

All credits are eligible for transfer to any Massachusetts Institute of Higher Learning, allowing students the flexibility to attend any State or Local College in the Commonwealth.
